Dive deeper into the animal kingdom with the Zoo as your classroom. Through guided inquiry, animal encounters, and a Zoo visit, students gain a deeper understanding of the immense diversity across the animal world.

K: What makes an animal different from other living things?
1st-2nd Grade: How do scientists classify animals into different groups?
3rd-5th Grade: What can we learn about the role an animal plays in an ecosystem through critical observation of its physical and behavioral adaptations?

Late Arrivals

Due to a very full schedule, programs will not be extended for late-arriving groups beyond the scheduled end time. Staff will make every attempt to cover as much material as possible in the time available. Please obtain information on how to locate us in advance of your trip by visiting the directions page on our website.

Weather Conditions

Programs are held rain or shine unless trips are cancelled by school officials or a zoo closure is in effect. Please encourage children to dress appropriately for outdoor activities.
