Girl Scouts
The Central Park Zoo is a great place for Girl Scouts of all ages to learn about animals, conservation, and earn badges! Each 90 minute program is packed with fun activities, animal meet and greets and exhibit visits, all while completing the steps to earn a badge — included at the end of the workshops.

Individual Girl Scout Programs
These hands-on workshops are a great way for your Girl Scout to earn a badge! Each 90 minute program is packed with fun activities, animal meet and greets and exhibit visits, all while completing the steps to earn a badge! Badges are handed out to all Girl Scouts who complete the activities at the zoo. Drop-off programs available for Daisies through Cadettes. Badges are included for all Girl Scouts that participate the activities at the zoo.
Troop Programs
Calling all Girl Scout Troop Leaders! Book one of our private Girl Scout Badge in a Day workshops for your whole troop at the Central Park Zoo. Workshops include steps toward earning the badge plus visits to select exhibits and meeting an animal up-close. Programs available for Daisies through Cadettes. Badges are included for all Girl Scouts that participate the activities at the zoo.

Daisy: Eco Learner
Saturday, 10/19: Daisies will earn their Eco Learner badge by going on a nature trek in the Central Park Zoo! Through games and challenges, you will discover the many ways you can take action to protect nature. During the trek through habitats at the zoo, they will make a few pitstops to meet animal guests up close.
Daisy: Shapes in Nature
Sunday, 4/27: Daisies, you can now earn your Shapes in Nature Badge at the zoo! Using the zoo as our field site, we'll observe the natural world up close, paying attention to patterns we notice, and create nature inspired art.

Brownie: Pets
Saturday, 11/16: Looking for the purr-fect way to earn your Pets badge? Together, we'll explore which animals make appropriate pets and how to be a responsible pet owner. You’ll also embark on a quest to learn how to care for different types of animals and how to make simple enrichment for their own pet.
Brownie: Shapes in Nature
Saturday, 1/18: Brownies, earn your Shapes in Nature badge at the zoo! Through observation and data collection, animal-themed activties and games, Girl Scouts will complete all 5 of the steps for this badge. This workshop includes up-close animal encounters, zoo exhibit visits and more!
Brownie: Bugs
Saturday, 3/1: Brownies, have you heard the latest buzz? You can earn your Bugs badge at Central Park Zoo! We’ll learn all about insects and cover the badge steps including meeting some insects from the Zoo, exploring insect habitats, and taking a bug themed micro-field trip!
For Brownies (grades 2-3) Price: $25
Junior: Animal Habitats
Sunday, 12/8: Juniors will earn the Animal Habitats badge by exploring animals and their habitats at the Central Park Zoo! In this workshop, troops will learn the importance of animal habitats, explore habitats from all around the world and get an insider view of how the zoo recreates some animal habitats right in our park! You'll also meet an ambassador animal and explore zoo exhibits.
Junior & Cadette: STEM Careers
Sunday, 2/9: Do you dream of becoming a zookeeper or veterinarian? Maybe a field biologist? In this badge workshop, you will explore different STEM careers in wildlife conservation by meeting animals and the people that work with them. You'll also explore the zoo grounds and meet an animal ambassador up close! Available for both Juniors and Cadettes.

Daisy Troop: Outdoor Art
Book a Daisy Outdoor Art Maker Badge Workshop for your troop and they'll use the zoo as their canvas! During this adventure, your troop will observe color and music in the natural world, create their own masterpiece using natural materials, and of course, have up-close animal encounters and explore zoo exhibits.

Cadette Troop: Animal Helpers
Cadettes will earn their Animal Helpers badge as they explore many examples of the powerful relationship between humans and animals. During the program, they’ll meet a few resident ambassador animals and learn about the significance of the human-animal connection in wildlife conservation.
