We provide unforgettable experiences for your camper including age-appropriate, hands-on activities, up-close animal experiences, time to explore the park and tons of educational fun that builds on campers' innate love for our wild planet.

SUMMER CAMP AT THE CENTRAL PARK ZOO
In-person summer camp is back at the Central Park Zoo and it's going to be WILD! Campers will explore the zoo and learn about our animals like never before! This small-group experience brings all the fun of Zoo Camp with health and safety as a top priority. Scroll down for our summer camp schedule and descriptions! All camps run from 9:00a - 3:00p Monday - Friday each week unless otherwise noted.

Ages 2 to 4 with a Caregiver
Zoo Fledglings: Our Summer Zoo-cation
Join us on an around-the-world adventure right here at the Zoo! Discover a variety of habitats and their animal representatives in this hands-on, interactive 1 hour summer camp for toddlers and their caregivers. Up-close animal encounters, art experiences, hands-on investigations, and zoo exploration are part of this week-long experience.
Entering Kindergarten and 1st Grade
Kinderzoo: Animal Sense
Are you ready to test your own Animal Sense? From super sniffers to hyper-hearing, summer campers will investigate adaptations like these through hands-on exploration, scientific investigations, and up-close animal encounters every day!


Entering Grades 1st to 6th
Wild Safari
Warning: this camp contains nature! In this all new experience at the Central Park Zoo, summer campers will get messy as they learn, play, and explore a new, messier side of the Zoo.
Entering 2nd and 3rd Grade
Week of Wildlife: Weird, But Zoo
Splat, Boom, Hiss! This week, campers embark on an amazing adventure through the weird, wacky and WILD animal world. Summer campers may get messy as we make our way through some sticky situations, hair-raising animal encounters, and icky investigations.


Entering 4th to 6th Grade
Zoo Explorer: CSI: Critter Scene Investigation
Attention, Summer Campers! We're looking for master animal trackers and zoo-per sleuths for a special assignment this week! Together, campers are immersed into a world of Zoo mystery and intrigue, with hands-on investigations, up-close animal encounters and solving peculiar puzzles. *cue suspenseful music!*
Entering 7th to 9th Grade
Keeper for a Week: Zoo Keeping 101
Do you think you've got what it takes to care for Zoo animals? Roll up your sleeves, get messy, and find out this week! During Zoo Keeping 101, summer campers will get up close to animals, meet zookeepers and see what it takes to care for the animals at the Central Park Zoo.

Accessibility
Participants in this program will spend most of the day outdoors during a range of weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and precipitation, as well as travel over uneven, natural surfaces. Accommodations may be available. Please contact us for more information.
