Registration
- If you would like to schedule a Central Park Zoo Education program, please click on the link here to view field trip programs for Pre-K through High School. You can also call the Education Department at 800-433-4149 (press 1, then 2 when prompted), Monday through Friday, 9:00am-4:30pm or email us cpzeducation@wcs.org with any questions about education programs or the registration process.
- Once your order has been made, an invoice with program information, including date & time, will be sent to you. It will then be reviewed by Education staff. Once it is confirmed, you will receive your itinerary & your invoice with a payment due date.
- A $50 change fee will be incurred if the school needs to change the program dates.

Visit During the Off-Season & Save!
- WCS Parks tend to be less crowded before March and that makes it easier to see all the exhibits while you are there. In addition, most of our parks have indoor exhibits for you to warm up in while exploring animals. There’s no such thing as bad weather - only bad clothing!
Class Size
- KINDERGARTEN: Maximum class size is 30 students & 7 adults, including the teacher.
- 1ST GRADE & UP: Maximum class size is 35 students & 7 adults, including the teacher.
- Schools are not allowed to combine classes to reach the maximum class size.
- School & camp groups are required to provide a minimum of 1 adult chaperone for every 10 children & chaperones must remain with their group at all times.
- SPECIAL NEEDS CLASSES: We welcome students with special needs. Please be sure to mention special needs or disabilities when registering so that we can make accommodations to support your students’ needs. Please find additional details here on the Central Park Zoo Accessibility page.
Payment Policy
- Payment in full is due at least 4 weeks prior to the program date.
- If you book less than 4 weeks in advance of your program date, payment will be due immediately.
- Under no circumstances will a program be held without full payment in advance or a Purchase Order.
- Payment may be made by check, credit card, or Purchase Order.

Cancellation Policy
- All cancellations must be received in writing by email, cpzeducation@wcs.org.
- Cancellations made more than 2 weeks in advance will receive a 50% refund.
- There will be no refunds for cancellations made within 2 weeks of the scheduled program.
Late Arrivals
Due to a very full schedule, programs will not be extended for late-arriving groups beyond the scheduled end time. Instructors can only accommodate groups arriving up to 20 minutes late, and will cover as much material as possible or provide an alternate activity. After 20 minutes, late-arriving programs will be replaced with an alternate activity or may be canceled. No refunds or reschedules will be provided.

Weather Conditions
Programs are held rain or shine unless trips are cancelled by school officials or a zoo closure is in effect. Please encourage children to dress appropriately for outdoor activities.
