Wildlife Theater

Wildlife Theater is a standards-based theatrical experience that delivers science content and conservation messaging. This program uses puppets, songs, games and costume characters to teach young people about wild things and wild places, helping to build the next generation of conservationist activists. Performances are self-contained, interactive and fun. Wildlife Theater is learning gone wild! 3K Series

These all new offerings are designed with the littlest animal lover in mind. These 25 minute programs feature puppets, songs and games, and are designed to support emergent curriculum and inspire imaginary play. Because of the nature of these performances, we limit class size to one classroom per performance.

Animal Moves

Children boogie their way through this adventure with puppets, singing and dancing like their favorite animals. Children will explore the life cycle of a butterfly, learn about the hidden shapes in animals, how to identify animals by their sounds and how people and animals aren't really that different after all. In fact, we have a lot in common!

Animal ABCs

Back to animal basics in this adventure. Children will explore the letters of the alphabet, the hidden shapes in animals, how to identify animals by their sounds and the many colors of Cam the Chameleon with a fun zoo twist!

Pond Magic

What are the magic ingredients for living things to survive? Find out with Frankie the Frog and his friends in this adventure. Children will "dive" into the pond to learn all about how frogs move, the life cycle of a frog, what frogs like to eat, and what all plants and animals need to survive.

Auditorium Series

Perfect for large audiences and school assemblies, these performances are interactive & engaging. They can be done indoors or outdoors & are a great way to supplement learning. Each show includes songs, games, puppets and/or costume characters. Each auditorium performance is 45 minutes long. Auditorium performances are available for grades K - 5th.

​NEW! SuperShark's Ocean Adventure

Your students will join SuperShark on an undersea adventure to meet the animals (in puppet form) that live right off our coast. With SuperShark, your students will learn about shark adaptations and that sharks are our New York City neighbors. Along the way, they will help SuperShark solve the biggest mystery of the sea: how people can be part of a healthy ocean ecosystem. Your students are invited to pledge to become Ocean Protectors and learn actions they can do to help conserve the ocean. Performances starting January 2020.

Cool Rainforest Connections

Join our performers as they journey from NYC to the rainforest & explore the differences between urban & rainforest ecology. Students participate in interactive games & learn what animals in the rainforest need to survive & how our actions have very real global consequences. Join our superhero Captain Cocoa on their quest to save the rainforest & learn simple actions anyone can do to benefit the planet.

Polar Opposites

Travel the world top to bottom with Wildlife Theater! Your students will learn how animals survive & thrive in their different polar habitats. Students will learn how penguins & people have more in common than one might think, & how their behaviors are influenced by their environments. The story continues with a polar bear who discovers their place in the arctic food web with a little help from their friends!

Amazing Adaptations: The Great Dinosaur Adventure

Ever wonder how dinosaurs survived in their extreme environment? Go back in time with Wildlife Theater & learn all about adaptations & survival strategies. Join our heroes Cope & Marsh as they find out the truth about animal adaptations...some things never change!

Butterfly Boogie

Join Wildlife Theater in exploring our buggy world with this show highlighting the unique roles insects play in our ecosystems. Students will learn the unique characteristics that all insects share, & participate in interactive songs & games as they go on a 3,000-mile adventure to study the majestic Monarch Butterfly. This show includes an endearing coming of age tale that explores the special relationship between plants & animals.

Perfectly Penguin

Ever wonder what WE can do to protect the planet? Find out when Wildlife Theater takes students into our oceans to explore cause & effect. They'll learn how penguins & people have more in common than one might think, & how their behaviors are influenced by their environment. Next, they'll find out exactly what happens to the trash left on the street, & how trash impacts animals in our most fragile ecosystem, the ocean. Finally join our performers as they learn how electricity can create pollution & what happens when the temperature around the world goes up, & what we can do to help!

Classroom Series

Designed for an intimate classroom setting, these interactive, hands-on shows combine literacy development with engaging science content. These are a perfect compliment to existing curriculum, but can also be stand-alone pieces. All incorporate songs, games, puppets and/or costume characters. Because of the nature of these shows, we limit shows to one classroom. Each classroom performance is 45 minutes long. Classroom performances are available for grades Pre-K - 1st.

NEW! Sesarma Crab Goes to Sea School

Pre-K - K

Head to school with Sesarma Crab in this interactive puppet show! Your students will learn how letters can become words, how to count large numbers, about how baby sea animals grow up, and why being different can be really amazing. They also learn why it is important to keep the ocean healthy for all of our ocean friends and how to deal with big emotions. This program includes colorful puppets, original songs and audience participation. Performances starting January 2020.

Animal Adventures Medley

Pre-K - 1st

Join our puppet troupe & performers, with special guest Rhonda the Rabbit! This performance includes short, interactive shows feature singing, guessing games, & storytelling about the animals that can be found in a pond or barnyard. Learn basic concepts such as shapes, sounds & locomotion with a zoo twist! Join our puppets & performers as they explore the wonderful world of animals!

Petunia Penguin Goes to School

Pre-K - 1st

Our costumed character, Petunia Penguin, & polar explorer Admiral Bird transform students into a team of Antarctic scientists in this interactive theatrical piece. Help Admiral Bird decipher their scientific notes, & learn all about the different behaviors penguins need to survive in the harsh Antarctic environment by becoming a colony of Gentoo penguins! How will Petunia Penguin survive? With the help of Admiral Bird & your team of Antarctic Scientists!

Youcan the Toucan Sense of the Rainforest

Pre-K - 1st

Bring the tropics to your classroom with a visit from our Youcan the Toucan puppet & explorer Jungle Jane. Together, they embark on an adventure that will transform your students into a rainforest exploration team. Using their five senses, students experience a unique introduction to the rainforest that features creative drama, literacy development, storytelling, & puppets.

Frankie the Frog's Pond Adventure

What is life really like in a pond? Join Frankie the Frog & friends to find out! This interactive program features magic, songs, puppet shows, storytelling & games about pond & animal life.
